ZnO nanoparticles and ZnO nanowires were prepared using the hydrothermal technique. This paper studied the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) using polymeric membrane impregnated with ZnO nanostructures under UV-light and sunlight irradiation. Such types of LDH/PP nanocomposites can be useful where faster degradation or faster recycling of polymer nanocomposites is required because of environmental issues. A decrease in mechanical properties interpreted as increased catalytic degradation was also observed in iron (Fe)-containing PP nanocomposites. A decrease in melt viscosity and increase in burning rate were observed in the case of iron (Fe)-based PP nanocomposites. The morphology of LDH/PP nanocomposites was analyzed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The thermal behavior of MgFeAl-LDH/PP nanocomposites was studied using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Mechanical properties were analyzed with a universal testing machine (UTM) and Charpy impact test. Color parameters (L*, a*, b*) and opacity of PP nanocomposites were measured with a spectrophotometer. Rheological properties were determined by rheometer, and flammability was studied using the limiting oxygen index (LOI) and UL94 (V and HB). Three different loadings of LDHs were used in PP (2.5, 5, and 7.5 wt%). Nanocomposites containing MgFeAl-LDH and PP were prepared using the melt mixing method by a small-scale compounder.

Ternary metal (MgFeAl) LDHs were prepared using the urea hydrolysis method, and Fe was used in two different concentrations (5 and 10 mol%). This work analyzes the thermal degradation and mechanical properties of iron (Fe)-containing MgAl layered double hydroxide (LDH)-based polypropylene (PP) nanocomposite.

The obtained modified APP endows the epoxy resin with outstanding flame retardancy, smoke suppression performance, and mechanical properties. This cover describes a facile strategy to synthesize a high-efficient diamino diphenylmethane (DDM) modified ammonium polyphosphate (APP) flame retardant via the ion-exchange reaction of DDM and APP. Unfortunately, the inferior compatibility and easy migration of APP in the polymer matrix will reduce the mechanical properties and weather resistance of polymers. The question remains what it means for Vietnam's modernization and the prospects of a civil society.Ammonium polyphosphate (APP) is considered an efficient halogen-free flame retardant in polymeric materials. Another case study focuses upon the rapid urbanization of the periphery of Hanoi where land grabbing and private economic gains of outsiders are at loggerheads with local experiences and perceptions of state-village relationships. Two case studies are presented here: one in which local stakeholders of home stay tourism achieve their goals to develop an acceptable form of co-habitation with ethnic minorities without questioning the state.

Using the concept of mimicry the author tries to grasp what it means to live in a society where political and economic life is dominated by elite groups and were social change is coming from different directions. In this study, an effort is made to explain the concrete interactions between authorities of the Vietnamese one-party state and its citizens by introducing an attitude of participants to conceal their real intentions with the intent to disguise their actions in order to obtain benefits for their own. Are the issues of civil society, “good governance”, and the role of NGOs in Vietnam part of a discursive discourse that is linked to a growing development industry in which development studies and economics dominate? Kleinen questions these issues based upon longitudinal research in Vietnam since the early 1990s.
